GIS Analyst--Port of Tacoma

GIS ANALYST - Port of Tacoma. Compensation: Starting salary range of $51,466-$64,308/yr., DOQ, plus full benefits

Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Planning, this position will be responsible for performing professional and technical work in the operation, design, development, maintenance and management of the Port of Tacoma's Geographic Information System (GIS) requiring the accurate application of accepted standards of performance and departmental practices. This includes database administration, interfacing with the Port's Information Management System (IMS), collection and input of data, analysis, and documentation/presentation of findings (presentations, writing, mapping, etc) and other work assigned.

Credentials: Minimum required education is a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Geography or related discipline.

This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of technical experience Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related experience to include specialized experience and/or training in geo database development, and shape file manipulation using ESRI GIS software.
